' : ; T 7 ed Dear Miss Barrows: This morning Father and Mother took me down to the beach to watch my first sunrise. Sunrise on the Gulf of Mexico is a very pretty sight The sun didn't come up until almost six o'clock, but we were at the beach before 5l30. It dofen't get light all off ji sudden, but gradually. It is light enough to see well even before the sun comes up. This is a very nice time of day. Gulls fly along the edge of the water and eat little fish. Everything is quiet Then before you know it, it is almost as bright as day, though the sun hasn't quite come up yet Sunlight first hits the bottoms of clouds and Z turns them purple and orange. You next see the sunlight on tops of buildings. Finally you see a tiny rim of the sun as ' it begins to come up. It looks : like the sun comes right out of the ocean.
