Figures released by the Elias Baseball Bureau revealed that; the Mays compiled a .659 slugging percentage and also topped the circuit in total bases with 382. Duke Snider of the Brooklyn Dodgers ranked second in slugging with .628 while Ted Kluszewski of the Cincinnati Red-leg- s was second in total bases with 358. Mays, who also led the circuit in slugging with a .667 percentage in 1954, is the first National Leagu er to win two straight slugging crowns since Stan Musial of the St. Louis Cardinals did it in 1943 and 1944. Both the cage game in the BYU field-houis still more than two months away, Eddie Kimball, the Cougar athletic director, is already wondering where he is going to pat all the people wfto want to see the game. The game is scheduled for Feb. 24 and might very well be the tilt that will decide the. conference championship. All basketball fans in the area realize this, hence the tremendous interest in the gime. Of course, the Cougars and Redskins could be battling to keep out of the cellar and still pack the fieldhouse, because of the intense rivalry between the two schools.' This season both clubs are expected to be in the running for the Skyline title all the way, so interest in the game has about double. se BYU-Colora- games do fieldhouse and the games are expected to be two of the best in Provo this season. It will be "Family Night" tonight and Saturday night in the Cougar fieldhouse with an entire family being admitted to the reserve seat section each game on one reserve seat ticket. Best in Skyline The four games involving the nationally ranked Utes and Cougars rate as the best of the weekend battles in the Skyline.
