' . ; Mrs. Burr was born in Manli, in 1853. a daughter of Eliza and I William Beal. Most of her child hood was spent in southern Utah, r where at the age of 12 she learned to spin, knit and card wool and thus assisted her mother in earn ing a living for the family after the' death of her father. She married Hugh U. Burr on August 17, 1874 in Payson. During their early married life they resided in southern Utah where they engaged In farming and dairying and here their 13 children were born, and grew to adulthood. Mrs. Burr was a charter ' member of the LDS Relief Society when It was organized in Burrville where she acted as a counselor for two years, treasurer for. eight years and Relief Society teacher for 25 years. In June, 1907. she moved with her family to Provo Bench where they purchased a fruit farm and in. 1919 Mr. Burr died and from that time until three years ago Mrs. Burr maintained iter own home In Orem. She has been active ' in church work and has had speciaj interest in temple work and devoted many ' years to the Burr family records containing 10.000 names in the ' f ManU temple.
