She was born on November 29, 1921, in Springville, Utah to Ernest and Belle Sumsion. She graduated from Springville High School in 1940. Elsie married her sweetheart Reid Peery on March 15, 1941, in Oakland, California. Reid preceded her in death on April 30, 1996. Elsie was a talented home-make- r. She enjoyed making all kinds of crafts and would give them away to her family and friends. She was also great in the kitchen; baking, cooking and making candy for everyone. Elsie was a dedicated member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-da- y Saints, and served in many callings. Elsie is survived by her children: Brent Peery of Payson, Utah; Nola P. Hofmann (John) of Pine Grove, California; Alan Peery of Payson , Utah; Jan Hackbarth (Steve) of Temecula, California; her brothers: Russell and Keith Sumsion; and 17 Grandchildren She and 31 was preceded in death by her husband, 5 sisters and brother. Funeral services will be held Friday, May t 2009 at 1 :30 a.m., at the Payson 3rd ward, 191 North Main Street, Payson, UT. James M Davis, age 82 passed away peacefully in Orem, Utah with his 6 children at his side from a reoccurring illness. Jim was born April 24, 1927 in Panguitch Utah to Joseph and Ruth Proctor Davis. Jim graduated from Panguitch High School then attended UVSC College. From humble beginnings, he worked diligently to provide the comforts of this life, as well as the treasures of eternal life which is to come for himself and his family. He was employed at United States Steel as a Machine Shop Foreman where he received many prestigious awards during his 34 years of service. He was President of Ge- neva Recreation Association, ac- tive in the Lions Club and organized many community events. Jim served 4 yeas in the Army during World Warll.' Jim enjoyed playing golf, bowling and playing pool. In his earlier years he enjoyed hunting, fishing and collecting arrowheads with his 2 sons. He loved traveling to Europe & Canada with Ralph & Jackie Brown and spending time with both families. He had many friends that enjoyed his fun spirit and sense of humor. He loved driving his car and going on road trips (always having a fun song to sing on the way). He was active in the LDS Church and served in the Bishopric as Ward Clerk for many years. Survived by his beloved wife of 19 years, Bettie Corbet Davis; Mother of his children; Ardeth Roe Davis, Pangutich, Ut; Janet (Mike) Eichelberger, Springville, Ut; Rodney (Lana) Davis, South Jordon, Ut; Kevin (LaRie) Davis, Orem, Ut; Debra Davis Buehner, Las Vegas, NV; Karen (Brent) Smith, Irvine, Ca; Michelle (Bob) Tachick, Irvine, Ca; stepfamily Vickie Georgelas, Washington DC; Pam (Jim) Dane; Lindon, Ut; Cregg (Deanne) Orem, Ut. 21 grandchildren with 2 on the way, and 10 great grandchildren. Kenna, age 55, was born in Mt. Pleasant, Utah on April 3, 1954 to H. Carlton, and Elverda E. Seeley. On April 5, 1974 she married her high school sweetheart Allen B. Seeley-Nielse- Nielsen in the Manti Temple. During their 19 year marriage they loved and cared for dozens of foster children, and had three of their own. Kenna was an active member of the LDS church, she had a strong testimony, and she loved her heavenly father. She enjoyed quilting, tole painting, and cross stitching. In addition to craftwork, Kenna had a talent for writing poems, and singing. She is survived by her three children Jeffrey, La-ceand Megan; ten grandchildren; her brother Hal, and sisters Carma and Sandra. She and Ralph served a full time temple mission to the Manila, Philippines Temple. She enjoyed sewing, quilting and crocheting. She also enjoyed telling stories and playing music.
