In a way, however, the story of The Rock Church in Utah Valley began more than 20 years ago with a bartender and a blackjack dealer who met in a bar in Oregon. "We dated for three years," said Jeanne Mclnroy, who worked the blackjack table. Steve, her future husband, was behind the bar. "Neither one of us was interested in religion at that time of our lives." There's a bit of history between then and now, when Steve, 49, is pastor of The Rock Church in Provo.
