Show Sunday, September 5. 2004 DAILY HERALD Obituaries Jacob Zeeman' "Jake" : More on C4 Oliver Bradley Murdock Orem; Sherry Dean Murdock of Provo; and Tim Murdock of Orem. 24 grandchildren and 22 great grandchil- born June 18, 1921, a soo of Ctiver Boyd Murdock and Agnus Oeetta Singleton in RoswdLNew Mexico. He married Elva et e Joyner of Blonmingdale, California; Tom Murdock of Salem, Mis souri; Dorothy Doughty of Florida; Edith Heyser of Spokane, Washington. He was preceded in death by bis wife. Funeral services win be held Tuesday, September 7, 2004, at 3:00 p.m. at the Cascade Chapel at Sundberg-Oipi- n Mortuary, 495 South State Street in Orem. Friends and family may call one hour prior to the services at the mortuary. Interment win be m the Timpano-go- s Memorial Gardens Cemetery with military rites provided by VFW District 4. Loutese Bonine on November 22, 1944 in RosweH, New Mexico. They were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on August 17. 1977. Oliver worked for Canyon Drive Lumber Company, where he was the best finish carpenter in Amarillo, Texas. Oliver served as Sunday School President and later as High Priest Group Leader in the Amarillo Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-DaSaints. Survivors include his children: Estel Bradley (Rene) Murdock of Provo; Anne (Russell) Chde of y CobWey Yancey in Groveland, Bingham County, Idaho. She married Var Osmond Buchanan on January 23, 1936, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died September 5, 1981. Gladys was an active member of the LDS Church, serving in various positions in the auxiliary programs. Her greatest joy and talent in life was staying in touch with family and friends through beautiful handwritten letters. Gladys spent 33 years working professionally for businesses and banks in Blackfoat, retiring from Idaho Bank and Trust in 1971. She is survived by her son, James Robert Buchanan (DeeAnn), of Alpine, UT; 4 grandchildren: Angela Gordon (Don), of Anaheim, CA; and loving mother, grandmother, left this life and to begin her eternal journey. Sarah LaVerna Dalley Corry was born in Summit, Utah, on August L 1913, to Alexander and Sylvia Gifford Dalley. She married Heyborne Corry on June 3, 1931, and was sealed on July 1L 1970, in the St. George LD.S. Temple. She was preceded in death by her eternal companion, Heyborne; her son, Gary H. Corry; and her granddaughter, Valerie Dunn. She is survived by her three sons: William H. Corry (Bonnie), Springville, Utah; Dixon Corry (Joyce), Las Vegas, Nevada; and James L. Corry (Karla), of San; taquin, Utah; her two daughters: Janice Dunn (Rex), Annabella, Utah; and Dehna Black (Travis), of BQoxi, Mississippi; and her daughter-in-laVirginia Corry, of Heber, Utah; 25 grandchildren; and 35 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Nan-nett- e, r d3 lit II High Priest Group Leader, High Councilman, Scout Master; and; he was a faithful home teacher. His joy in life was to serve and he spent countless hours in service to others. Lew was a loving husband and father. He loved hunting, gardening, photography, was exceptionally skilled in woodworking, and had a talent for all trades. He was easy to five with, easy to love, and had a fun sense of humor. He smiled and laughed a lot and brought a lot of joy to his family, even though he suffered from debilitating diseases. He is survived by his eternal companion and sweetheart, Luan, and their children: Nannette (Ty) Darton, Steven (Lori) Fredrickson, and April (Ron) Smith; 15 grandchildren; and one brother, Eugene (Doris) Fredrickson. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 8, 2004, at 11 ajn, in the Payson 18th Ward chapel at 482 West 1400 South. Viewings will be Tuesday from pm. at the Walker Mortuary, 587 South 100 West in Payson; and, Wednesday, at the church from 5 ajn. Interment will be in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery. Roma Jean Smith Hall, age 64, passed away September 3, 2004, at &estviewCare Center in Provo. Roma was born January 12, 1940, in Genola,UT,to Lester Gerald and Naomi . Smith. She married Metvin Wayne Hall on May 27, 1958, in the Manti Temple. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, canning (especially grape juice), quilting, and gardening. She loved all animals and truly adored her cats. She was a loving mother and cared deeply for each one of her 12 children. The North Fork Preservation Alliance and Sundance got together high profile names such as astronaut Dr. Story Musgrave, radio host Doug Fabrizio and the dinosaur genius, Dr. Robert Bakker, to pique the interest of local residents in hopes of getting them involved with the nature center. Kari Rasmussen, who runs the center with educational director Christy Merrick, said the plan worked Saturday. "There are a lot more local people here than what we had on opening day," she said. He played the accordion and harmonica; and, in his younger years, he sang with his brothers perform ing at many different places. He was born June 14, 1934, in Provo, Utah, to Vila Kinsey and Vincent Fredrickson. After graduating from Provo High School in 1952, he joined the US. Navy Air Force. He served 4 years active and-years in the reserves. He married Luan Stevens, of Maplet on, in 1957, in the Manti Temple.. They had three children: Steven, and April. They raised their family in Sandy for 10 years and South Jordan for 28 years, where Lew enjoyed gardening and working on their home. After retiring, they moved to Payson, Utah. He took his first teaching assignment in Roosevelt, Utah, where he taught for one year before moving to Sandy, Utah. There, he accepted a position with Granite School District. He e loved working with children and related well with them. He continued his education at the U. of U. acquiring endorsements in me- - Zee-ma- He married Electa Al-i- DAILY James Michael Buchanan (Lori), of Rigby, D, Kristy Ann Meyring (Ryan), of Orem, UT; Todd Osmond Buchanan (MindyX of Phoenix, AZ; and 6 and 21 great grandchildren. Additional survivors include her siblings: Evelyn Yancey, Lowell Yancey, Zola Ricks, Maxine Stone, Edythe Bradley, and Harold Yancey. Preceded in death by sister, Elaine Searle.
