It all takes time, and the result seems to be that there are jsix' "widows" who stand back, of Lehi's governing council. What dovthe women do with their time while hubby is out, wrestling with the city's problems? How do they feel about their husband's political activities? That's: what we set out to discover. The truth is the Council wves' are one of the busiest groups of women in town. In fact, it is amazing how they can find time to carry out all the activities they do so well while still maintaining lovely homes foi their families. Four of them have jobs outside the home, while the other two have young families which take up the bulk of; their time.. Gracious 'First Lady Lehi's "first lady,". Mrs. Frank Sharp, is a. gracious individual who has made a comfortable, attractive, home of their dwelling in the north of the city. Sheris one who part combines a career and marriage. For many (years she has done secretarial work, and currently i$ employed in American Fork. She began her career early in life when she was, Widowed with two small children, and has continued working since ; thaV time. In fact, , she has worked all but one year since her marriage to Mr. Sharp. She confesses that her job and housework leave little time for hobbies or outside activities, al- -' though she likes to read and do; needlework, when not relaxing before the television set. Her hUsband is, a' dynamo who man-- i. ages to lead three lives that of! a credit manager for the Utah! Power and Light Company, may- -' or of Lehi, and farmer. He' cut! farm tivates a model which is noted for Its: flawless, furrows and the fact that abso-- j lutely no weeds can be found on it. Mrs. Sharp shares his love off the land and likes to work in her rose garden and flower beds. At present she is looking forward to the new home they plan to build directly west of their pres ent dwelling. Her five grand-- j children are. also an important , part of her life. Mrs. Lynn R. Mrs. Webb is president of the Lehila . Women's Club and is .chairman of Room Mothers: for the Lehi Elementary PTA. She ' is currently taking a weekly ext tension course on the- - Book ot Mormon and' is engrossed in a , study of the U. S. Constitution V a subject which she Is teaching as Stake Social Science leader in the Relief Society. And just so time won't hang heavy on her hands, she recently began sub stituting for a Sunday School , j ; teacher who broke her ankle. ' Her hobbies are reading and sewing for herself and her chU- dren. She also has found time to serve on the advisory con- - j mittee studying prospective high . r school sites in Lehi. Mr., and. Mrs. Webb's children are Robert, 16; Lynda Kaye, 12; I;T1 Van, 7; Randy, 5, and David 2. Mrs. Hugh Otterson returned I with her husband to Lehi only j four years ago 'after making their home in Los Angeles, fo v .. Hi J) v I CERAMICS IS HER HOPBY Ceramics is a favorite hobby of Mrs. Hugh Otterson, yhen she is not working or doing church work.
