The story is of a love match between two temperaments diametrically opposed a rich lumberman from the forests and a beautiful cabaret dancer of gayest New York; a man in which the call of the wild finds a ready response and a girl to whom the white lights of Broadway are as the breath of life. The subject is one in which the possibilities for intense dramatic action are obvious and it is help up the next act for, ten minutes. The hardest part of a comedy, contends Lloyd and his producer, Hal Roach, is the "gag" for the final fadeout. "Grandma's Bo?" is hailed as Harold Lloyd's niot pretentious oX comedy in a line-uphotoplays that have not had one mark against them. Lloyd's newest comedy is alwavs a tep forward, and "Grandma's Boy" is a mighty big stride ahead. It is in five reels and its laughs, thrills and suspense are built around a theme as serious as the psychology of fear. Lloyd is seen as the bashful small town boy, afraid of his own shadow. When his little oldfashioned grandmother comes to his rescue with her great wisdom and teaches him the m euaqlly obvious that Dustin Farnum should handle the star role with of he makes the great skill and good taste.
