The Aurora Mines company has Installed machine drills on the property and commenced development work In earnest. There are twelve men lit work breaking ground as fast as possible, expecting to reach the main tody of ore within a week. The ledge hows from $5 to 110 feet on the surface. A shaft has been sunk 150 feet and crosscutting is now going on. tunnel Is being run In the side of the hill which if expected to open up the main body of ore. Assays show from 2 to $28 values. The Aurora Consolidated has been handicapped in the handling of their ore in the past through lack of capacity of the mill. This has been remedied by repairs and new Installation, and the property Is now turning out better than 600 tons daily. The property Is working about 130 men. raising in the old Juanita ore body and securing very exceptional ore values. This company should be complimented on the manner in which conduct their mining operations, theythere as have been no accidents with the exception of minor hurts, which Is tlue "largely to careful raining.
