Show UNITED FUND DRIVE UNDERWAYAT MINE Volunteer workers officially kicked off the 1957 United Fund Drive among the 3,000 employees of Kennecott's Bingham Canyon mine this week. Approximately five per cent of the employees were reported re-ported contacted on the opening day of the drive Monday. A total of $801 was collected. The drive will end October 16. Assisting with the drive as co- chairman is Les Hamlin. Drive committee members include: Arden E. Webb, Everett Hubbard, Hub-bard, Arthur Bentley and Joe Dispenza. They will be assisted by some 55 other volunteer workers work-ers who will make personal contacts con-tacts with each mine employee. Theme of the ten-day drive is "Give a Day's Pay the United Way," said Chairman Pazell. |
