Hays and Frank C. Barnes entertained about 100 of their friends. The main dining room and the geld-roowere thrown open for dancing and the guests were received in the floor. reception rooms on the second Punch was served in the gold room and the decorations throughout consisted of white baskets of yellow spring flowers tied with bows of yellow maline. The Hawaiian Troubadour orchestra furnished music. At the SaltLake Tenmis club last night Miss Janet MeLeod entertained at a about forty of her young friends ' dancing party. Colour de rose prevailed in the decorations, excellent music was furnished for the dancing program, and a supper was served late in the evening. The young people were chaperoned by Mr. and Mrs. W. L. McLeod. parents of the young hostess, and Mr. and Mrs. AS. H. Dale. Little Marian Knickerbocker and Hattie Thomas assisted in various ways. . The presence in the city of Col. and Mrs. D. C. Jackling and Miss Jolliffe the first of the week on their way to Butte was the signal for numerous social entertainments given In their honor by friends. Among those entertaining were Mr. and Mrs. F. C. Schramm, Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Whitley, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis B. McCornlck and Mr. and Mrs. R, W. Salisbury.
