Show THE MIDVALE Page Three SENTINEL (Utah) Friday, July 20, 1956 THE SENTINEL IN SANDY Mrs Deon Crawford, 940 South 400 East, Rtporter. AM 5-- 1 278 n the family's home at 350 North First East, Sandy, was threatened by fire when their neighbor, Ed Peterson, was burning some weeds on his property. Thinking the fire out, Mr Peterson left the scene and some smoldering embers ignited again and destroyed a storage garage belonging to him. The Sandy Firemen arrived soon and extinguished the blaze before it had a chance to jump to the Stuart gar age and house nearby. Had it not been for the quick action of both volunteer departments, Moab's and Sandy's, the Stuarts would be homeless today. Circumstances have made the Stuarts mighty thankful for the fire department. The Stuarts have four children. 23, Firemen Look Good to Stuart Family Fire again struck at the M. J. Stuart family Saturday, this time at their home in Moab when clothes hanging on the line to dry valued at $100 were destroyed. The fir started in a roll of roofing paper and jumped to the clothes. The Stuart house would also have been burned had not the Moab Fire Department arrived, as the roof was already smoldering.
