We think Midvale people have done a good job of decorating their homes for the holidays. Too bad the Chamber of Commerce doesn't have more prizes to give . . . glad we didn't have the judges' job! The longer a town keeps up such a con test, the better the entries get, be cause each year people add a few more strings of lights, or get a new idea, or add in some way to last year's effort. As we write this, the judges final decision is due mowe hope they make mentarily this edition. Our pictures were taken, and the cuts ordered long before the judging was complete. There were so many good ones, it was hard to decide . . . just had to pick out the ones that looked like they would reproduce the best. That's mean work dragging around heavy camera equipment, setting up tripods in the dark, dodging cars, guessing exposures to get the most of each display. Then we have to try to remember not to duplicate the ones we used last year. , t I) Another good sign is the constant demand for apartments and houses. Hardly a day goes by that some stranger doesn't come to the Sentinel office seeking help in locating a place in Midvale for his family to live. We have had a moderate but consistant housing boom here, but apparently it cannot keep up with the demand.
