Brady, Sandy First Ward, returned recently from England where he served more than two years in the English mission field for the LDS church. Shortly after arriving in the mission field, Elder Brady was assigned British mission secretary, a position he held for 23 months. While there Elder Brady toured Scotland, and north and west England with the conference president. In January 1954, he accompanied Pres. & Mrs David 0. McKay and the mission president to South Africa. He had the opportunity of meeting many of the LDS church officials as they passed through London, as being secretary of the mission, Elder Brady lived at the three story Victorian Mansion at 149 Nightingale Lane, London. He greatly enjoyed his varied experiences in the mission. He was in England when the Salt Lake Tabernacle Choir arrived there on tour. With 110 other British missionaries he attended the dedication of the temple at Bern, Switzerland In September. & Mrs SANDY MAN PROMOTED AT SALT LAKE BANK Charles H. Greenwood, Sandy, son of Mr & Mrs Charles A. Greenwood, was recently named assistant manager of the credit department of the Main and Fourth South Branch First Security Bank, Salt Lake. Harold J. Steele, senior vice president, made the appointment Mr Greewood Is a veteran of "World War H He joined the bank in 1947. Mr & Mrs Greenwood have three children, Charles Reed, Lee, and Gayle. Brothers, Sandy RD, a senior at Christian College, Abilene, Tex., has been selected as one of the representatives of the school to be listed in the 1955-5edition oK Who's-Wh- o Among Students in American Uni versities and 'Colleges. Miss Broth ers was a graduate of Jordan High School ;in 1951 and is a chapter secretary "of Alph Chi, national . 6 scholarship fraternity. Billy Wetsel, Kathleen Konold, Judy Simonson, Billy Breeze and Kenneth Pearson, Sandy Fourth Ward, were recently promoted from the Primary to the ward Aaronic Priesthood. Clay M. Robinson, advertising ex ecutive, left Monday, Dec. 5, via air, for Chicago. He flew on to Lansing, Mich., and Milwaukee and Madison, Wise, and is expected to return home here this Saturday, Dec. 10. Elder Gary Nelson, Sandy Sec ond War who recently returned from the British mission, will give report of his mission Sunday, Dec. 18, at Sandy Fourth Ward sacrament service at 5 p.m. On Christmas night, Dec. 25, a Christmas tableau, under supervision of Sandy Fourth Ward MIA and the ward Sunday School, will be featured at Sandy Fourth Ward sacrament service at S p.m. at the ward chapeL A Christmas program will be pre sented at Sandy First Ward Sunday School Sunday, Dec. 18, at 11:30 a.m. at the ward chapel. There will be separate exercises and program for the Junior Sunday School at Sandy Recreational Hall, and Sandy First Ward senior Sunday School at the ward chapel. The one-aplay, "The Perfect Hideout," a comedy, and "The Exodus," a drama, were presented Tuesday evening by Sandy First Ward MIA under direction of drama directors Helda Beth Jones and Wilburta Moore. The cast of "The Perfect Hideout," included Brent McKay, Wayne Bateman, Melrae Bateman, Arba Tripp, Brenda Bateman, Bonnie Christian, Julia BelL Gayle Hndrickson, Keith Nickle, and Jeannette Kunz. The cast of "The Exodus," included Janice Jenkins, Terry Kirby, Reed Atkinson, C. F. Clawson, Larry Bolliger, Keith Nickle, Doreen Richards and Geral-din- e Whitmore. Accompanist was Miss Gwenda Atkinson. Vocal selections were by Nancy Higginson. The scenery was directed by Linda Acey, Kathleen Leak, and Joyce Wahlin, with Harold Carpenter in charge of lighting and J. C. Richards, make up. Sandy Fourth Ward MIA drama night will be held Wednesday, Dec. 14, at 7:30 p.m. when the radio play "Runner In the Snow" and a one act play, "Old Mr Particular" will be presented. Sandy Fourth Ward MIA will present a special Christmas program and party Wednesday, Dec. 21, when "Voices of the World at Christmas," will be featured. Mrs Clay M. Robinson and Mrs Hoyt Conger, Sandy, and Mrs Jay Stevens, Crescent, attended a meeting of the African Violet Society of Utah held last Thursday evening at the Civic Center in Salt Lake City. Mrs Robinson is secretary of the African Violet Society of Utah and Mrs Conger is program chairman. Mr & Mrs Clay M. Robinson entertained at a dinner at their home Saturday evening for Mr & Mrs Clyde Lowe and children Arlene and Tommy, who returned recently from two years' stay in Pakistan. Winner of the Jaycee Christmas doll given away during intermission of the three act play sponsored by the Sandy Jaycees at Jordan e High School, Nov. 23, was Miss Norris, Sandy. This doll was used as a money raising project by the Sandy Jaycee auxiliary to make money for needy children during the Christmas season. Robinson, Mr & Mrs Max Robinson and family, now living in Pakistan, visited six weeks with Mr & Mrs Lowe at their home in Pakistan, prior to the Lowe's leaving for Utah. ' The Lark class of Sandy Third Ward Primary, under direction of Mary Alice Turner, will present "The Birth' of Our Savior," depicted in pantomine, Wednesday afternoon, Dec. 21.
