Show Granite Mrs Reva Bishop 0 Luncheon Enjoyed By Granite DUP Gamp Granite Camp of the Daugh- ters of the Utah Pioneers held its annual Christmas pot luck luncheon Saturday, Pec. 18 at 12 noon at the home of Mrs Vern to Mrs ..Morgan, according James Whitmore, captain. A study of the "Heroic Pioneer" was by Mrs Whitmore, which included vignettes of Christmas from the lives of Joseph Smith and early Utah pioneers. Gifts were exchanged at the lunch-coThe annual Primary Christmas program will be presented by the children of the Granite ward Dec. 22 at 4 p.m. in the chapel. All parents and friends are invited. Sunday Schools Combine for Program A Christmas program featuring members of the Junior Sunday School was presented Sunday morning in a joint meeting of the senior and junior Sunday schools. On Christmas night at 7 p.m. a special Candlelight service will be held at the church. This service will provide a meaning ful, worshipful closing to the year's most treasured day, ac cording to Rev. John Brooke. Last Sunday members of the Sandy Community Church met at the church at 6 p.m. to go caroling. Afterwards they re turned to the church for hot chocolate. Last Saturday members of the Community Church visited the Women's Dorm at the Point of the Mountain Prison. Another group visited the minimum security building. The Twelfth Ward had movies and a chili supper. The Eighth Ward will have a hay-rid- e and go caroling. The Seventh Ward will meet for games, refreshments, and an exchange of gifts. The five Cub Scout Dens of the Sandy Twelfth Ward held a dinner for the boys and their parents last week. The boys provided part of the entertainment themselves.
