Show Charlotte Carrol Wed To Donald L Beebe At a reception Friday evening, Nov. 19, in the West Jordan Stake house, newly married Mr & Mrs Donald L. Beebe received congratulations from their friends and relatives. The bride, the former Miss Charlotte Carroll, is a daughter of Mr & Mrs Maik K. Carroll, West Jordan. The groom is a son of Mrs Zola Beebe, also of West Jordan. The couple was married earl-- i ; (: , - iJSr ': j '.V ier in the day in the Salt Lake LDS Temple by Henry D. Taylor, assistant to the council of the twelve. Following the ceremony, the newlyweds were honored at a wedding breakfast at the Doll House, given by Ihe groom's mother, Zola Bee- Laurels, Mothers Attend Standard Night Laurel standard night was presented by Mt. Jordan Stake in the Draper First and Third Ward. Mrs Wilma Richins conducted. It was a special evening for mothers and daughters. The theme was "Sacred to Me." Prelude music was presented by Peggy Alldredge. The Laurels of the Draper Ward presented the Fourth Laurel Crest. Mrs Merrill War-nicUtah Mother of the Year of 1964 was the speaker of the evening. All the Laurels were presented books by the Mt. Jordan Stake presidency, Vergie Carol, Sylvia Haycock, and Maurine Roller. Refreshments were served by the Laurels of the Draper Third Ward and the Ward. Decorations Granite were done by the Draper Fourth Ward Laurels, invitations by Draper First Ward Laurels. Mr & Mrs Dean Bateman assisted in the planning of the Princess contest which is sponsored by the Utah Chapter of the American Dairy Association. Mr Bateman as a member of the organization and Mrs Bateman a member of the woman's organization, were assigned to the banquet and ball in the Empire arrangements room Hotel Utah. A feature of this year's ball was the leading of dancing by an experienced dance leader, Mrs Kenneth Beers, engaged to lead the crowd in some dances. West Jordan Junior High students saw a movie entitled "Three Men on a Mountain" by Walt Disney. The movie was on the climbing of the Matterhorn. In connection with the Lions Club meeting, they installed the West Jordan street light decorations. They have repaired a number of lights and have bought a number of new lights. Linda has won nearly 100 blue ribbons for her food exhibits, and this year received the achievement trophy for th mos.t outstanding girl in Salt Lake County. Girl Scouts of troop 175 are looking forward to a Christmas sleigh ride scheduled for Friday, Dec. 17. They will meet at 6 p.m. Following the ride they will enjoy a pot luck dinner and will exchange gifts.
