He flew from iBiloxi to Redwood City, Calif., where his engagement to Margie Babcock, daughter of Dr & Mrs John Babcock of Redwood City, was announced at an engagement party there. Then Phil and Margie came by train to Utah, and a party to announce the engagement to a large group of Russon family members was given by Mr & Mrs Russon Saturday evening, Jan. 19. Margie is attending BYU and Phil will return Tuesday, Jan. 22, to continue his studies in electronics at Keesler Air Force Base until June. The Granite A Team met the Granite B Team in basketball competition Thursday evening, Jan. 17. The A Team won by a score of Mr & Mrs Milton O. Gold entertained at a birthday dinner party in honor of their daughter, Cherry, on Saturday after noon, Jan. 19.
