Busy; Coop and Car Burn West Jordan firemen were called to assist the County firemen in combating a blaze in South Jordan last Wednesday, Dec. 2. The fire, which occurred at 11:15 p.m., destroyed a chicken coop at the home of Delos Beckstead. Firemen were required to battle the flames approximately two hours before bringing it under ocntroL Damage was estimated at $900. A burning automobile took West Jordan firemen out during the early morning hours Wednesday. A highway patrolman spotted the burning car in a field near the old airport No. 2, and turned in an alrm at approxi mately 1 ajn. Firemen brought the flames under control within an hcur, but not before the car was demolished. The car. a 1949 Chevrolet, had been reported stolen Monday. A luncheon following a Christmas theme, was served to ladies of the ward. Tables were gaily decorated with a Christmas motif, and the food carried out the Christmas colors. The annual Christmas partv for all married couples in the ward will be held Monday, Dec. 14, at 7 p.m. in the ward recreation hall. A supper will be served and a program will follow. Officers of the Relief Society are urging every married couple in the ward to attend.
