Stevens, Reporter Phone: AM Trees Chosen For Alta Bench tree committee of the Edgemont Civic Organization met with , Sunset Nursery and six trees were chosen for the street planting on Alta Bench area. Mr White will buy his trees from the Forrest Hill Nursery under the same program, permitting the committee to name the trees wanted. The best growing trees chosen for this area were the Blue Ash, Oregon Ash, Honey Locust, May Day Tree, Schwedleri Maple, and the Black Ash. These trees will be put on the lots that do not have trees planted. The now lots will already have trees planted. The Cub Scouts to Receive Awards at Pack Meet Nov. 21, at 7:30 p.m. at the Crescent Ward the Cub Scouts will receive awards. Kent L. Brown, son of Mr & Mrs Julian Brown, will receive his lion patch, one gold arrow and two silver arrows; Michael McNeil, son of Mr & Mrs Sheldon Angell, will receive one wolf patch and one gold arrow; Jimmy Upton, son of Mr & Mrs Joseph Upton, will receive the denner stripe. Anyone interested in being a den mother may call Edward Johnson, AM 54582. - SENTINEL (Utah) Page Three Girl Scout Troops Have Special Activity Girl Scout Troop 330 of Edge- mont area camped overnight last Friday at the Troop Camp Mountain Dell. They worked on outdoor activity camp craft. Elloene Walker, member 0f troop council, and Mary Rockhill, assistant leader assisted Mrs Raymond Timoney with the group. The girls who enjoyed the outing were Phyllis and Dorothy Simo-nicS'isan Sommers, Kathaleen Kar-reTimoney, Rosemary Walker, , West, Twila Urry, Joy Kuru-Jean Sheila Smith, Patty mada, Darley, Marsha Ludlow, Sharon Yen-gicZupan, Carol Deegan, Marie Dana Jensen, Kathy Wright, KaKathy McCrill, Patty Mceks. Nelson. Diane and Hayden thy Girl Scout Troop 25, under the leadership of LaVinia Montague had a candlelight invcsture ceremony at the Odd Fellows Hall in Murray. Mrs Russey was the guest speaker and Mrs Welling was the guest from the council. The girls inv&stcd were Randy Aldridge, Sandra Alsop, Carol Ann Bean, Jana Harris, Mary Ann Hyatt, Paula Ihler, Geral-din-e Montague, Kay Montague, Rozland Richards, and Margie Smith. All girls received tenderfoot pins. Mrs Montague was invested by Mrs Russey. Refreshments were served to parents and other guests. Mrs Montague holds the regular meetings at her home at 595 East 9400 South. h, n square dancing was enjoyed by the group. The Relief Society held an apron contest last Thursday. The aprons were numbered and those present voted on the aprons. The winners were for first place was Charlene Richards, who won a large red tafetta tufted pillow. Second place winner was LaTrel-l- a Dahl, winning a Christmas center piece decoration, and third place winner was Raya Jones who won a basket of ger aniums. Kefrshments were serv ed to about 40 people. Part of the aprons were sold that evening and apron sales will be held at the second and fourth Thursday meetings of each month. Christmas items and children's clothing will also be sold. Mrs Jack Dyer gave a birthday party for Ricky, 5. The guests were Toni Dyer, Louise Ivie, Sherry Gough, Cindy Lambert, Jenette Jensen, Lorraine Moore, Terri McCrill, Rodney Higbee, Ned Kirk, Steven and Kary. Mr & Mrs Elvid Wright spent Sunday with Mr Wright's parents, Mr & Mrs A. S. Wright, Orem. Melvin Seamons was the house guest of his son and family, Mr & Mrs Gordon Seamons, Sego Lily. Seaman Howard Dale Camp bell is visiting his parents, Mr & Mrs Howard Campbell, Galena Dr. Howard has just returned from eight months duty on Kwa-jleiIsland. Mr St Mrs G. G.
