Reporter Ph.: AM MEMORIAL SERVICES HONOR WEST JORDAN DECEASED Sponsored by the American Legion Post No. 119, Memorial Day services were held Thursday, May 31, at the White Fork Cemetery and the West Jordan Cemetery, Guest of honor and main speaker was the former governor, Herbert B. Maw. Brief services were first held at the old White Fork Ceme tery at 10 a.m. after which a mu sical program and the speech by the former governor was held at 11 at the West Jordan Cemetery An honor roll of veterans buried in the cemetery was read, taps were sounded, and the American Legion firing squad fired a salute jn memonum. . DAHL-GARDNE- Thp marriage of Mr & Mrs Ru Ion Dahl was solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple Monday mor ning. May 27. Mr Dahl Is the son of Mr & Mrs Lewis Dahl and the new Mrs Dahl is the former Lin da Gardner, daughter of Mr & Mrs Leo Gardner. West Jordan. Mr Hawkes of the temple presi dency officiated at the wedding. Following the marriage rites a wedding breakfast was held in honor of the couple at the Temple &quare Hotel, civen by the par ents of the groom for 18 mem bers of the wedding party. During the evening a reception was attended by friends and rela tives of the pair at the West Jordan Stake Center. A program, dancing, and refreshments were enjoyed. Attending the bride as matron of honor was her sister, Elaine. May 31 the following books will be added to the shelves of the Midvale Branch of Salt Lake County Library: MARY STEWART Funeral services for Miss Mary Stewart were held Tuesday at the Larkin Mortuary. Burial was in the Salt Lake City Cemetery. Miss Stewart, a beloved school teacher at West Jordan, died dur ing a school luncheon Friday noon. Miss Stewart had been hurt accident in an earlier in the year and had spent the remainder of the year recup eratine from a serious leg injury.
