A program was enjoyed and new officers elected for the coming year. Mrs Thaxton, Mrs Beckstead and Mrs Ethel Sorensen vere the outffoine officers. The family of Lea R. Hatch of Bluffdale and nieces and nephews of Mrs Grace Thaxton of Riverton, gathered here from several different states for a family reunion, the first time the family have all met together in 18 years. Mrs Lucy Jones came from Alberta, Canada; Mrs Miranda Pehrson from Provo; Mrs Edna Airth and sons, irom Portsmouth, 0.; Mrs Alpha Fox and from daughter, also Grant Hatch, G. Seattle, Wash.; Mr & Mrs Leo Gateway, from Hatch and daughter childCalif.; Mrs Irene Ellis and Pris-cill- a Mrs ren, from Spanish Fork; from children and Stevens Whittier. Calif.; Ira Hatch here on leave from the armed forces, at Fort Ord, Calif.; and Mrs Picola Wood and children living with her folks in Bluffdale while her husband is on a mission for the LDS church. Hat-ti- e Mrs Maude Butterfield, Mrs and granddaughter, Freeman in Patsy Buettner visited relatives formed Moody, Ida., recently. They a party and tourned Yellowstone Park. On the way home they were dinner guests of Mrs Butterfleld's Mr & Mrs son and daughter-in-law- , Edell Buterfield in Brigham City. House guests of Mrs Maude Butterfield for the next few weeks are her daughter and Mr & Mrs Carl Dreyer and children of Los Angeles, Calif. Dr & Mrs S.C.B. Sorensen have returned from a week's vacation to the west coast. Enroute they visited with Mr & Mrs Vernon Sorensen and son of Reno, Nev. Vernon is a teacher of foreign languages at the University of Nevada. In San Francisco they visited Mr & Mrs (Eva Mae) James G. Dokas and son, at Fresno with Mr & Mrs (Juanita) Jon Duffy and small daughter. son-in-la- Mrs Arch Kidd entertained at a children's party honoring her daughter, Kay's ninth birthday recently. Games were played and refreshments served to 8 small guests. Mr & Mrs John Madsen attended a three-daUtah State Postmaster convention at Price last week. Mr & Mrs Dean Kevin and son, Bradley have returned from a fishing trip to Hebgen Dam, Mont. Mrs Arthur Orr Jr. and son arrived here from Hawthorne, Calif., June 13, to visit with Mr & Mrs Arthur Orr Sr., and with her parents in Neola, Ut. Her husband will arrive later and after a short visit will take his family home. Mrs Joseph Morgan celebrated her birthday June 13. Home for the occasion were her three daughters, Mrs Lucille Anderson and baby of Salt Lake, Mrs Thelma and children of Rexburg, Ida., Mrs Nile Huff and baby of Novato, Calif., also present were Mrs Morgan's two sisters, Mrs Anna Taylor of Morgan, Mrs Hattie Pugsley of Salt Lake, and two sisters-in-laMrs Marchell and Maurine Wiberg. A new baby sister arrived June 8 for Kenneth and Duane Gilbert. Their parents are Mr & Mrs Mel- vin Gilbert Mr & Mrs Albert Gilbert entertained at a family dinner Sunday, honoring Pvt Deane Gilbert, who is home on a ten day leave from Fort Ord. Calif. Sgt. Ned Bills returned home June 13 after receiving his discharge from the Marine Corps at Treasure Island. Ned spent five months in Korea where he was wounded. He has been on limited duty for the past six months at Oakland, Calif. Jack Bills left Sunday morning for the U.S. Forest Department at Salmon, Ida., where he will be employed for the next three months. He will return to school at Logan in the fall. Miss Helen Thaxton left Sunday with Miss Virginia Harris of Bingham for Colorado Springs, where the two girls will take a six weeks course in dancing. Glen J. Airman Roger Beck fully re covered from a recent car accident was returned to his base at Las Vegas Sunday. Mrs Beck accom panied him. Harold W. Blair, principal of the Riverton school, is convalescing at his home after a major operation at a Salt Lake hospital.
