Mr & Mrs Carlos Smith and family have moved to Midvale to make their home. The twin daughters of Mr & Mrs Eldred Hamilton gave a Sunday in Riverton First ward. They are students of Miss Yvonne Berrett. Carol An Roach recently cele brated her sixth birthday. She entertained her grandparents, Mr & Mrs William Roach of Midvale, Miss Ruby Roach, and her cousins, Sydney and Brian Smith of Midvale. She is the daughter of Mr & Mrs Max W Roach. RIVERTON LOUISE HAMILTON, Reporter Mrs Ivan Frost of Ogden was a recent visitor with her relatives in Riverton over the weekend. Martin Cardwell, son of the William Cardwells of Riverton, is home on leave. He will return to duty Dec. 21, after which he will leave for overseas duty. ' New residents is being taken in Riverton by Mrs Joyce Hutchings and family. They are recent residents of South Jordan, and she is the daughter of Mr & Mrs Gwynne Page. The Junior G.ianers of the First ward MIA recently enjoyed a Silver Gleaner Comradery. A program and refreshments were enjoyed by all at the informal gathering. LaMar Butterfield has recently returned to Boston, Mass., where he is stationed with the navy. Ladd Stephenson, son of Mr & Mrs Steve Stephenson, is awaiting shipping orders after a leave here with his family. He is a member of the air force, as is his brother, Mark. Riverton First ward held their annual Christmas parties Tuesday, Dec. 18. Children from 12 to 100 were invited to the chapel, at 7:30 where a program, games and dancing were enjoyed. Kay Densley recently returned to California after being home with his family on leave. He is the son of Mr & Mrs Dee Densley. Mr & Mrs N K Thomson were in charge of sacrament services Sunday evening. Mr Thomson has been principal of the Riverton school for many years and recently accepted a position on the Jordan high school staff. Sunday, Dec. 9, Mrs Matilda Hamilton was honored on her 80th birthday. Mr & Mrs Elmo Hamilton served the family a turkey dinner. Dorothy won her honors through projects in food preparation. Once she was in Chicago, Janice went right on winning awards.
