Show "Crucials" 6 Key Games On Docket In MURRAY (UTAH) Thursday, Sept. 26, 1968 Blair Team Wednesday Region Vol(g)Fff 1..-- . The MURRAY. EAGLE-ADVERTIS- 4 Region spotlight swings this week to a pair of Cinderella football squads. Cyprus, sporting a perfect record in division two and apparently headed for its first grid crown in years, will collide with Kearns. The Cougars are an unsung team which zoomed from obscurity to prominence on the strength of last week's lopsided win over Tooele. On its own field, Cyprus will be the choice of odds- -l makers. But Kearns' big win over the Buffs proved what its backers have said all fall Cougars have much potential. A Pirate victory would put Coach Glenn Rupp's team in the driver's seat for the division crown. A Kearns triumph would keep the Cougars mathematically alive in the title race. On the east side of the valley, the spotlight will focus on Hillcrest, where the unbeaten Huskies entertain a small, but aggressive, Judge squad. It's the last formidable hurdle for Hillcrest on its way to the division one title and it's the last chance, too, for either the 1 Three Key Tilt score, Friday Cougars Blast Tooele In 40-- 0 Friday Rout making it 27-- 0 Loop Champ at half-tim- e. Dan Hornok, a sophomore substitute fullback, and Cary Christensen, a running back, escaped on long runs in the fourth quarter, but were hauled down short ofpay-dir- t. Both threats were staved off by Tooele defenders. Sitting out the fracas, exsituacept for single-pla- y tions, were starting end George Thomas and regular halfback Dennis Weidauer. Gary Pearce filled in well for Weidauer and Chidester was so effective a receiver that the absence of Thomas didn't ck rd MURRAY.
