In order to be named to the honor list, a student must maintain an average of 3.5 or better in all academic subjects, where 4.0 is the equivalent to an A." Among the Murray high grads cited for academic ach ievement were six seniors, including Carol Bennion, Mark Everett Dyson, Dianne D. Paul Webb Heaton, Donald Ward Richter and Katharine R. Strachan. Three juniors listed on the honor roll were- - Roy Orval Ames, Alan Ray Axtell and William D. Johnston. Scholast'c honors went to two sophunores, Ross Martin Madsen and Jay Lynn Stone, along with two freshmen, Jerry Ray Bell and Lynne Challis.
