Wirlaid J. Jones, board chairman, said the district purchased the plot and remodeled a home, an addition in constructing front for office quarters. Granger residents will recall the site as the former home of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Brock. The new location will have ample space for storage of equipment and meters, said Mr. Jones. Part of the structure has been converted into an apartment, which will be rented, he added. Formerly, the district was headquartered at 2820 W. 3630 South in a rented building. The first six phases of the sewer system construction program has been completed with the remaining sections to be finished within three months, Mr. Jones said. A pumping plant, located at 2200 W. 3100 South, is getting the finishing touches now and a new treatment plant will be put into operation in Octdber. will The $2,300,000 system handle approximately 2,000 connections. The balance of new sewer lines will be installed as soon as possible, Mij. Jones added. Completion of a deep well by the Improvement District was announced Saturday by the board chairman.
