Announcement was made this week by the owners of the Utah Woolen Mills that the blanket plant in Murray would close operations at the end of January. Briant S. Stringham, Jr., manager of the plant, said the lease had expired on the building and it3 machinery and that it was not deemed practicable to renew it. Utah Woolen several years ago sold its Murray holdings to the Welfare Department of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
