This is his first viist home for 15 months. Delmar has been in the Navy for 19 months, serving on the U.S.S. Alsea, A.T.F., a sea going tug. The saying, "Join the Navy and See the World", is quite true, as among the many places Delmar has been are, New Found-lanGreenland, "Iceland, Nova 30-d- ay d, 3 Scotia, Cuba and Porto Rico. Seaman Goff plans to enjoy deer hunting with his father and friends while here and he will leave home Nov. 8 to return back to his ship at Norfolk, Va., Nov. 10. The crew will then take the ship to Maryland, where it will be dry docked for about three months, for a complete overhaul and repairs, after which they will head out to sea again. In the past 15 months, Delmar has spent only six weeks in U. S. ports.
