He was graduated from Granite High school in 1934 and from the University of Utah in 1939. He entered the Naval Reserve after graduation and during the last war served in New Guinea. He entered the service as an Ensign in Nov. 1942 and was promoted to First Lieutenant while he was In New Guinea. At the close of the war he was employed at Geneva Steel as a Metalurgist for six months and then entered the naval service again and was sent to Washincton, D. C, where he lived until November. 1951, when he was transferred to Bremerton, (continued on back page) Polio Dimes Drive Extended Here The March of Dimes drive in Murray will be extended several days to give organizations an opportunity to complete their work and to gather up the more than 250 donation boxes in the city, it was announced Thursday by Mayor J. Clifford Hansen, drive chnirman for the city. The annual polio dance in Salt Iake City has been postponed to Monday night and the local drive will go beyond that date, the mayor said. Mr. Hansen said he expected this year's receipts to equal or better the $1100 collected last year.
