OPTIMISTIC Murray Eagle Murray, Utah Gentlemen: This is to inform you that I have just recently returned from Detroit, Michigan, where I attended a Hudson Distributors meeting. While we were there we went into Windsor, Canada, and also visited a number of the automobile defense plants. Hudson has one of the largest defense plants in Detroit, which will be ready for operation about the first of the year. We were able to secure twenty of the 1942 model Hudson automobiles and were very happy to learn that these automobiles were not inferior in appearance, convenience, or in mechanical construction; but in every respect were worth the difference in list prices the factory has asked. Most people thought the new automobiles would have substitute materials that would be inferior. In some cases they have used substitutes, and in some cases substitutes are better, such as Nylon, which has superceded silk in the hosiery industry. Very truly yours, L. H. Strong Motor Co. L. H.
