Return from Trip The Misses Evelyn Wilson and Evelyn Labrum returned home Sunday evening, following a delightful trip to the Northwest, where they visited relatives and friends. Returns from Coast Visit Mrs. Joseph S. Bennion returned from a visit to the coast Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. David Hamilton accompanied her on her return and will spend a few weeks here visiting. Nichols, Rulon Nichols, Mrs. Edna Holt and Mr. and Mrs. Reed Nichols are visiting relatives and friends in Los Angeles. Attendants for their wedding reception have been chosen by Miss Barbara Brinton and Paul Joseph Wise, whose marriage will take place in the Salt Lake L.D.S. temple on Friday. The service will be solemnized by Stephen L. Chipman. Attending the couple at the reception to be given at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and ' Mrs. D. Branson Brinton, 433 Eleanor Miss Vine street, will be Brinton and Miss Ruth Wise, as bridesmaids, little Miss Marsha Ann Brinton, flower girl, and Gordon S. Wise, best man. Following the nuptial service, Bishop L. Joseph Wise, father of elect, will enthe a at tertain wedding breakfast in Salt Lake City for the wedding party, members of the families and a few close friends. Prior to her wedding, Miss Brinton has been complimented guest at a number of showers. Last week Mrs. David B. Brinton, Jr., and Mrs. Herman entertained at their homes in Salt Lake for her. Only relative of the young couple witnessed the service, which was performed by Bishop L. Joseph Wise. Miss Roth is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Roth of 1018 East Ninth South and Mr. Reynolds is the son of Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Reynolds. Mrs. Keith Hunter, sister of the bride, was her only attendant, and LaDell Reynolds, brother of the bridegroom, acted as best man. He will attend school in Maryland for a few months and will then be transferred to California as a major and instructor. w et Miss Thelma Wood of Bennion received a class "A" rating at the State Fair for individual clothing, club second year work. Miss Hazel Parker is leader of the group to which Miss Wood be- longs. Miss Grace McRae of Granger won the "A" rating for first year individual clothing, and Miss Annabels McRae the "A" rating forthird year work. The McRae girls are under the leadership of Mrs. Rowene Wood. These girls received the grand champion award at the county fair in Murray, enabling them to display at the State Fair. Miss Wood and Miss Grace McRae won their awards on dresses and Miss Annabellc McRae's award was given on a small boy's suit. The Oakwood School P. T. A. association will hold its annual membership tea in connection with the flower show to be given at the school between 4:00 and 6:00 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 27. All patrons of the school are cordia-l- y invited to attend. Mrs. Joe Decker is president of the P.T.A., Mrs. M. K. Weiler is vice president and Mrs. K. Fritz Filers is secretary and treasurer. Sokolsky, internationally noted lecturer, writer and news correspondent, in two public lectures, both scheduled for September 24. The announcment was made by Mrs. Howard Candland, president of the local chapter of Pro America. Mr. Sokolsky will speak in Salt Lake City at 12 o'clock noon with the location tentatively set n at the Ncwhouse hotel. His 8 at will be p.m. appearance in the Hotel Ben Lomond. The speaker is being sponsored on a lecture tour through western states by the national organization of Pro America. The subject of his Salt Lake address will be "Horns of the Dilemma." Mr. Sokolsky has had wide experience on newspapers in Russia, China, and the United States, and is one of the popular speak-o- f the Town Hall forum of New York City.
