V'1 i Through the business depression, hard times and unemployment, the F. O. E. continues to grow. Thousands of new members have Joined the Order in the past year, realizing that this is an organization that has the goods, and especially when these goods nre needed most. The goods dlsix-nseby the F. O. E. consist of Fraternity and good fellowship, Hick benefits and Doctor services for members and their dependants. This class of service has proved its worth to members at all times and especially dnrlnj this period of depression. The Murray F. O. E. relief committee, headed by U-- Townsend, has been kept on the jump this winter and has done some mighty good work. Like (he citizen who neglects to pay his grocery bill when he is working and prospering, and then finds himself sick or out of a job, without money or credit, so are a few Eagles negligent in paying their dues in times of plenty and as the F. O. E. is a business as well as a Fratenral organization, these delinquent members find themselves deprived of the specified sick benefits and ' Ioctor service when needed most. The Secretary's report of members in arrears, is surprising from the fact (hat practically all delinquents are holding steady jobs and the balance were working steady when they tocnme delinipient. The major activity of the F. O. E. Ibis past year has been directed toward the Eagle's Bill for the which stabilization of employment Is now liefore Congress. This Bill has been presented with a view of formulating such plans and recommending such legislation as will employees to obtain a saving wage and investors a reasonable dividend. The various entertainment comactive this year mittees have and several more entertaliimiyit m are in store for the members. Thursday night January 2!Mh was selected as an open meeting and slag party for the Eagles and prosss-t-ivfrom Eagles. Several porsis-ctMldvale as well as from Murrray are expected to he present at this meeting. Hans are also lioing formulated for a Lincoln Birthday parky Thursday February 12th.
