More than 300 people attended the grand opening celebraclub that now offers its members state-o- f tion of the the-afacilities and increased benefits. This is a great day," said Maj. Gen. Scott Bergren, Ogden Air xtgistics Center commander. This is the first opportunity I've had to be able to break ground on a facility and still be around when the facility actually opens up. So it's a treat for me. This (facility) is going to give us some great capabilities," he added. "We're going to have two lounges and we're going to have two dining areas. We're not going to have comingled dining under normal circumstances. However, when we do have special functions, we'll have this entire ballroom to use." The ballroom, which holds about 375 people, can be divided into separate rooms to meet customers' needs. And, the club has other gathering areas, separate officer and enlisted lounges and restrooms, and a larger parking area. Members will also see the facility and Cashier's Cage open longer and receive free birthday meals. Those attending the opening festivities got a glimpse of the new facility and were treated to free food and wine tasting as a variety of music played in the background. "It's a vast improvement! Much more modern and up to date in appearance," said 2nd Lt Kevin Sorrels. The new bar is very aesthetically pleasing. Overall I like it." "I've been coming up here since 1955 and seen all the changes, this is a very nice facility," said Ixnzi Nelson, retired Navy memrt ?T& 1 Ijj 5 Photo by Ray Parr "Tina and the Turners," left, were among the entertainment when Club Hilt held Its grand opening Friday.
