Perhaps if "Concerned" weie so concerned, he or she would have attempted to obtain the fact before bringing a minor issue of school admin before the public. Here are the facts, and since 'Concerned" has not deemed it wise, necessuiry, or proper to tumult the principal' office concerning ' procedure. I hope he may be Concerned' enough to read them: Report cards are issued every nine weeks. This period was deemed too long before report to the parents and students wen-- luadr. Hence, the Report, Caid C'pinmitlee. composed of faculty members and citizens of Milford recommended that the falluies be reported to parents at the end of every 4Kn weeks. This was one. method used. It was decided by the high school administrative unit the students should also be Informed of their class standings during the same period o the standnlgs of failure was posted. Since the "failures" of "those responsible" was called for. I will not hesitate to list them in connection with the Milford h believe' I bav.e qualified myself thtn have to write "letter to the editor" or explain student failures to the parents. For the year 1953 54 please note the figures used are for the present teaching personnel under contract. In the final tabulations for this year the figures may vary slightly as certain things may enter the picture that will change the final facts. , O. GRANT ROWLEY, Principal. Dear TAXPAYER AND CITIZENS of Beaver Co : I am making the following report In reply to a letter of in- quiry recently requested thru the Milford News. I appreciate very much your sincere attitude toward the pointed problem. The following chart has been prepared from tabulated information at this office and I am H5J H TJ s-1- ar - It should be a common understanding that the Beaver Coun-- ! tv School District operates un der a Teacher Salary Schedule. We are no different from the other 40 school districts of the state in this respect. Teachers of the district for the 1952 53 school year were teaching under a schedule for BS or BA degree properly certified at a minimum( wage of $2700 with a maximum salary of $3820 increment. This with a has been inye&r creased to $2324 minimum and $3920 maximum With a Increment. In addition there are other brackets! and more or less monies offered. A teacher's salary depends upon the professional training arid the experience he or she (has. I am happy to report tlMLetachers ? 16-ye- the-sched- ule 15-ye- ar are on schedule.
