INCALIFOMM William Cochrane,' third son of William and Jane Montgomery Cochrane, died in a Southern California hospital on Wednesday. Feb. 3rd, of complications following a major operation. - Mr. Cochrane rallied aft- er undergoing the surgery and apparently was recovering1 satisfactorily, when his condition changed and he passed away. Mr. Cochrane was born on March 30, 1878. in Gi Iky, County Derry, Ireland. He worked in a general store in the Old Coun ry for six years, and came to America in 1900 to visit a brother who lived in Victor, Cole Return'ng to Scotland to visit his mother, he married Miss Anna B. Mr. Snell adv sed the group that dial service Tor M'lford has "top priority" in the company's development and improvement program, but he gave no date for beginning '.he engineering work, other than to say it is not in the program for this year.. A year of engineering work is necessary before actual construction work can begin. Mr. Snt-l-l heard Lions express the usual complaints regarding the service'. Including the opinion that obsolete equipment was largely to blame for the Milford complaints. He disagreed with this viewpoint, stating that "there's no reason why this equipment cannot give satisfactory service," and stated he would send adequate checking equipment and personnel to Milford to make a thorough .Inspection of the plant facilities : w. "We are members of a national sorority,, but actually we are a service' group, maybe even "more so than some of the civic clubs and organizations. Much of our work is with individuals or families v, who temporarily need assistance, and of course this is never known to anyone except the individual and the organization.
