No. 31 M1LF0OHD, UTAH, THURSDAY, DEC. 24, 1953 T Don and DeWayne Alger, sons of Mr. and Mrs. Don Aiger of South Milford, showed the Champion Light Tom and the Champion Light Hen in the Junior division of the Utah Turkey Show hJd at the Newhouse Hotel in Salt Lake City Dec. 11th and 12th. Don and Dwayne obtained 50 turkey poult last spring from a St. George hatchery, and have developed the flock as a project. They entered four birds in the Salt Lake show. 4-- NEWS MM Teen Talk ,01dest Couple' Honored At Anniversary Dinner The oldest couple in Miners ville, Mr. and Mrs. Moroni Myers, recently were feted on a "Second Cup of Coffee' Radio Station KNX broadcast. The well known couple will observe their 66th wedding anniversary next Saturday at a family dinner at the home of one of their children. Mr. Myers was 87 Dec. 9th. He was born in 1866, a son of Joseph and Sarah Eyre Myers. His family came here from Derby, England, and he has spent most of his life farming in Minersville and hauling freight from Milford to Pioch ; and the old D.lamar mine. Mrs. Harriet B. Myers was born in a cellar at Minersville. Feb. 4, 1862, a daughter., of Edward and Sarah Bradshaw. Both have been very active in L D S church work and in civic affairs. They were married at Beaver in 1887, and later the marriage was solemnized in ' the St. George L D S Temple Ten of 13 living children are Mrs. Mrs. Cassie McKnight, Gertrude Fisher and Mrs. Helen Gillins, South Milford;.
