THE SUMMER UTAH CHRONICLE ride ay Invites U Resource Center Serving as Community Partner for Event LGBT Sheena McFarland Chronicle Editor in Chief Along with the thousands of expected participants in this weekend's annual Pride Day festivities, one U center is hoping to have a strong student presence. Charles Milne, director of the U's Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Resource Center, wants as many U students as possible regardless of sexual orientation to stand on a U pride float in this Sunday's parade. "I think it's important we participate so U students and potential students can see that there is support on campus for LGBT students," Milne said. Students who participate will receive a free Milne said. The June 8 parade will start at 300 South and State Street and will end at Washington and Library Squares, where the rest of the day's activities will take place. Donald Parfitt, a forklift operator at Clays Ltd. in Bungay, located in eastern England, pleaded guilty last month to taking the pages of "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix," which will be published June 21. Parfitt, 44, said he found the pages in the parking lot May 5 as he was leaving work.
