Stuck in the middle A U student reported she received 17 harassing phone calls from another woman within a time period. The calls stem from a feud between the two U police were called in to handle a case of a student who reported being threatened by other students. Hit and Run report police received a run accident at the U of a hit and University Services Building. A worker unloading supplies was struck on the hand by a car as it drove past him. The driver didn't stop, and the worker was unable to get a license plate number. Thief steals gun Three vehicles parked in the Merrill Engineering lot were burglarized. A loaded revolver was stolen from one of the vehicles and a stereo, speakers and CDs were stolen from the others. were Couch surfer Officers called in to deal with a woman who was sleeping on a couch in a restroom of a building on campus. Apparently, the notes arose out of a report filed at an earlier time by the student which resulted in the arrest of another student. The students were told by police that they were close to violating the law by witness tampering through intimidation. Five for Fighting UUPD officers were called in to break up a fight between two spectators at the Utah-BYhockey game at the Steiner Ice Arena. A citation for assault was given.
