In all, Utah racked up a whopping 13 penalties for 158 yards, including all but 5 in the latter 30 minutes a statistic that no one on the team was proud of. "Tempers started flying in the second half, but we can't buy into that," Rice said. "It wasn't all our fault they'd hit us first and we'd retaliate, and the ref always catches the second guy but we've got to be more disciplined." U coach Ron McBride was even more succinct in his displeasure pointing to USF's first scoring drive, in which 68 of the 91 yards they trekked came via three personal fouls and two pass interference penalties on the Utes. "When we got those five penalties, then it became sloppy," McBride said. "They were trying to suck us in, and we retaliated. We can't get into stuff like that. It's very disturbing. We've got to keep our composure." As for the Bulls who dropped to 3 on the year coach Jim Leavitt said there wasn't much of any composure from his team to begin with. "We got our behinds kicked. They beat us in every way," he said. "Everything we did was disappointing. We got embarrassed. I have no idea why we played like that. We have no excuse for that performance. There were no positives in anything we did." McBride said he would give the team a few days off before they returned to the practice field to begin preparation for the Wyoming contest which will be the Utes second Mountain West Conference game of the year. ewaldenchronicle.utah.edu 21 FJRSTQUARJJR 62-ya- rd team willpractice www, South Florida Utah continued from page 9 The Fabric Doctor!"
