Instructors from various departments accompany groups to foreign universities and institutions. The instructors also provide guidance for those who have never been to another country. The center offers five different intensive language study programs in which students can earn credit toward a foreign language degree. The program also partially fulfills the language requirement for a bachelor of arts degree. Students can apply their foreign language skills by going to Keil, Germany; Siena, Italy; Kobe, Salamanca, Spain; Switzerland or Neuchatel, Japan; Cuernavaca, Mexico. The center also offers programs for many majors within the College of Humanities, such as art history in Europe, political science in the Pacific Rim and Russian studies in Russia. All of the programs are offered at the most minimal cost as is possible.
