John Our dear sweet mother and grandmother, Alene Livingston Curtis, age 86, returned to her in rather Heaven, her loving hus- Alan Marchbanks, of 65. Lindon, died Wednesday, August 25, 1999. at his home geous after a valiant and courabattle with cancer. He was born June 16, 1934. in Mapleton. Utah, a son of Leo Carrick Helen and He married Marchbanks. Marjean Beth Smith October 21. 1953 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple He was a devoted father and husband. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-da- y Saints. He honored his priesthood and served in Elders capacities; many Quorum: Bishopric Executive First Bishop's Secretary: Counselor; Stake Young Men's President; High Councilman; and High Priest Group Leader and Assistant. He also served as a temple worker in both the Provo and Mount Tfhipanogos Temples. Alan loved fishing, hunting, and family activities and parties. He first worked for Consolidated Western as an iron worker and then went to work at Geneva Steel Works as a boilermaker for 35 years. As a side hobby he worked a 14 acre apple farm with his father for about 30 years. Alan was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Helen Marchbanks. He is survived by his wife, Marjean; his children, Alana (Rick) Ovard, Michael (Connie) Marchbanks, Kellie Hoover, Shellie Barton; 13 beautiful grandchildren, Rikkie Melissa Tolman, (Johnny) Nicholas, Hooley, (Ryan) Lynzie, Kaydee, and Brett Ovard, Monica, Nathan, McKell, and Kara Marchbanks, Jentry, Ryan and Beau Barton; two granddaughters, McKenna Tolman; and Kennedy Hooley; three sisters and three brothers, Venna Anderson, Nona (Dean) Gillman, Shirley Harris, Reid, Leon, and Terry Marchbanks. Funeral services were held Monday, Aug. 30, in the Lindon West Stake Center, 250 West 600 South, Lindon, Utah. Burial was in the Lindon City Cemetery. Berniece Hunter Moyle, born Januarv' 17, 1908 in Alpine, to Utah Robert Alfred and Fanny Zalie Carlisle the Hunter, third of ten children. She married Lyman Moyle December 4 1929 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple and he preceded her in death December 5, 1990. She was a member of the LDS Church and served in many organizations throughout her life. She is survived by two daughters; Mela M. Burke, of Orem, and Sharen M. Johnson, of San Francisco, California; 13 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren; and two sisters. Hazel Price, of Lehi, and Nell Perry, of Portland, Oregon. She was also preceded in death by a son, Douglas. A brief graveside service was held Monday, Aug. 30, in the Alpine City Cemetery. At Berniece's request, there will viewing. Utah Vickie Paxman and G. Dennis Baum. She to graduated American from Fork High School in 1991. She was a member of the LDS Church. Darcie was a joy to all who knew her. Her smile and laugh were enjoyed by all. She enjoyed crafts, scrap booking, and loved watching the Dallas Cowboys and Utah Jazz play. She also had a collection of Harley Davidson memorabilia. Darcie's son Draye was the 27, 1999. She was born in Elba, Idaho, Sept. 2, 1912 to John D. and :K.f y J, Stella Ann Lessey Livingston. She married Veron P. Curtis, Aug. 21, 1928. They moved to Lehi in 1943. She was active in the LDS Church and loved singing in the choir. She served in the Primary, Relief Society, MIA, Sunday School, and she also served on the Old Folks Committee for many years. She loved attending the Temple and did so regularly for many years. She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers light of her life. She is survived by her son Draye; her mother Vickie (Lionell) Austin; father, Dennis G. (Nedra) Baum; siblings: Dana (Brandon) Finlayson, D'Lyn (Shad) Mayne, Travis Baum, Marcy Baum; grandparents Dennis and Geneve Rowley. Additional survivors include many nieces, nephews, cousins, close friends and a very special aunt and uncle, Carey and Tom Bott. She was preceded in death by her angel daughter, Darian Marie Winters. Darcie, give the little ones a big hug and kiss for us. We love you and will miss you. Funeral services were held Monday, Aug. 30, 1999 in the American Fork East Stake Center. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to Family First Federal Credit Union, P. O. Box 1750, Orem, Utah 84059 in Darcie's name. and participated in a Special Interest group. She loved working with children and worked at the Utah State Training School for eight years where she made many friends. She loved serving others and enjoyed serving lunch at the Senior Citizens' Center for many years. She also enjoyed sewing, cooking, gardening, crocheting, quilting, and needlepoint. She has 6 children: Norma (Pete) Workman, Orem; LaRue Lois Bountiful; Howard, Mitchell, Verlene (Bill) Moffett, Donna (Bob) Boren, all of Lehi; L. Michael "Mike" (Susie) Curtis, Riverton; 32 grandchildren; 102 and 1 She was preceded in death by n; her husband, Veron and son, VarDell. Funeral services were be held Tuesday, Aug. 31, 1999 in the Lehi 6th Ward LDS Chapel. Burial was in the Lehi City Cemetery. Pauline C. Rowlings Chatterton Pauline Rawlings, 55, of American Fork, Utah, after a courageous fight with cancer, passed on to our Berniece Moyle 91, died August 27, 1999 at her home in Orem. She was born February 8, 1944 in Franklin, Idaho to C. Wallace and Aletha Biggs Chatterton. She married Stanley L. Rawlings May 1, 1964. They were sealed for time and all eternity in the Logan LDS Temple. Pauline was a devoted mother and wife. She is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-da- y Saints and served in many capacities. She graduated from LDS Business College. She worked at the Dan Peterson School for many years and developed a love for her colleagues and especially the children there. She loved to causes incident to age. was She born Dec. 2, 1906 in Lehi, Utah, daugh- ter of Lemuel and Lucy Britten Whimpey. She married Clem Turner, Sept. 5, 1933 in Salt Lake City. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died Aug. 27, 1968. She later married Darwin Cluff. He died in October, 1992. Violet attended school in Lehi and went to Washington, D.C. as a young woman for two cook, sew, garden and do craft work. She looked forward to returning home to the farm in Franklin, Idaho, where the wide open spaces gave her a peaceful feeling and a calmness she never felt anywhere else. Pauline is survived by her loving husband and sweetheart of 35 years, Stan; five children, Rawlings, (Mindy) Jay Marianne (Jeff) Orr, Brent (Sherilyn) Rawlings, Diane (Kent) Clayton, and Elder Gregg Rawlings, serving in the Scotland, Edinburgh mission; 7 loving grandchildren, Jaycee, Chalis, Regie, Alexis, Travis Jeffrey, Colter, and Matthew; brothers, Terry, Steven, and Eddie; sisters, Hope, Judy, Wendy, and Tammie; and many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Wallace, and two brothers, Bruce and Demar. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, September 1, at 11:00 a.m. in the American Fork 6th Ward, 100 East 300 North. Mortuary Interment was in the Lehi City Wing Cemetery. Thanksgiving Point corn maze to open Friday A maze corn at Thanksgiving Point will open 3. The Sept. Friday, Thanksgiving Point Corn Maze will run through October 30. Mondays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. The cost is $5 for 12 year- - olds and up, $4 for children, or $20 for a family pass. Toddlers are free of charge. After finding your way out of the maze, a wagon ride will take participants to the pumpkin patch and they will be able to pick out a pumpkin to take home.
