Surrounded by her family, an elect and beloved lady, Margaret Dunkley Gardner, 79, passed at away Nielsen Utah, Provo, from compli. , i cations of a last fall Sunday. She was born on July 17, 1919, at Bingham Canyon, Utah to Joseph L. and Laura King Dunkley. She moved from Bingham when just a small child to American Fork, Utah where she spent the rest of her life except for a few years when she lived in Beaver, Utah. Margaret graduated from American Fork High School in 1937. She attended BYU, worked in Salt Lake City, and waited for her high school sweetheart to complete his mission to Canada. She married R G. Gardner on May 1, 1941 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple and they celebrated 47 anniversaries together until R G. passed away in 1988. Margaret was a devoted wife and mother. She supported her husband and children in school, and church responsibilities as well as fulfilling with love and willingness the opportunities to serve that came to her both in the church and the coms Funeral services for Earl Lamar Nielsen, 87, who passed away on June 23, 1999 in American Fork held were June 28, at the American Fork LDS 3rd Ward. He was born Aug. 30, 1911 in Salt Lake City to Andrew Alma and Ivie Eleanora Olson Nielsen. Married Rosemary Hodson, May 27, 1938 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She preceded him in death on October 10, 1998. He was raised on in Vernon, Tooele County, Utah and graduated from Tooele High School and Brigham Young University. An educator, he taught in Vernon, in the Uintah Basin and in the Granite District in Salt Lake City before joining the LDS Seminary system where he taught in Tooele and American Fork. After retirement, he School worked with people with disabilities in the Jordan School District. He was distributor for the Agency Newspaper for both the Corporation Deseret News and the Salt Lake Tribune for many years. Active in the LDS Church, he served a mission to the North Central States and later, with his wife, to the Liberty Jail visitor center and to Ogalalla, Nebraska. Served in numerous stake and ward positions and at the Salt Lake and Provo temples. Survived by a daughter and Searle, Kay son, Mary American Fork, and Gerald Nielsen, Orem, 17 grandchildren, 47 great- - grandchildren, two sisters Ann (Doyle) Shields, American Fork, and Aurelia Swenson, Tooele, a Mae (Melvin) Jensen, Monroe, many nieces and nephews. He moved his family from Hawaii to Utah in June, He is survived by his wife Virginia, children Keith (Lisa Cameron) Ciriako, Katherine (Mark) Ragland, Kevin (Diane Anderson) Ciriako, Kelly (Jodi Harward) Ciriako, Kimberly Ruth Hashimoto. He married Virginia Davis; 13 grandchil- (Rodney) brothers dren; Raymond Ferreira on (Ramona) Ciriaco, Kenneth November 2, (Gloria) Ciriako, Carl (Sanae) 1963 in Ciriako; sisters Melani Nelson, Kona, Hawaii. Marriage was Faith (Rodney) Acol and numersolemnized in the Hawaii LDS ous nieces and nephews. He was preceeded in death by his Temple on November 26, 1967. His hobbies included fishing, parents, Junia and Ruth which he loved to share with Ciriako and brother, Richard others, hunting, skeet shooting, Ciriako. She mar- ried Jaren H. Parduhn on July 5, 1938 in Farmington. They were later divorced. She married Fay Leon Evans on February 21, 1966 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He passed away April 6, 1994. Theda grew up in Pleasant Grove and graduated from high school in 1937. After graduation she attended BYU. Matthew Farrell Jeron, Drew, and Brynn and Matthew Ferrell, age 19, r Veda Bigelow Steele, 79, died June 24, 1999 in American Fork. Born February 7, 1920 in Wallsburg, to Utah Daniel Dewey Susie and Wall Bigelow. She married Marl William Steele April 10, in Salt Lake. Marriage was later solem- nized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She created works of art in quilting. She loved to attend the temple; dearly loved children while working in the primary and loved her grandchildren. She was an avid visiting teacher loved to see nature and travel, especially in the National Parks. She loved CINEMA mi grandchildren and five greatgrandchildren. He is also survived by one sister, Gudren Bjorvig, still living in Denmark. Gustav worked as a nursing home administrator from 1963 to 1980, reaching out to people with his humor and love. In addition she worked at the Provo Temple for 15 years. Theda will always be remembered for her hospitality and culinary skills. Additional survivors include two sisters and brothers: two Evelyn Schoonover & Dean Bezzant of Pleasant Grove; Ranae Lewis, Lehi; and Harold Bezzant, Salt Lake. She loved music and sang with a ladies trio for over 30 years as well as participating in many choruses and choirs.
