The woman said the charge has been showing up on her statement for approximately nine months, but "did not think much of it at the time." Noticing the charge again in January 1999, she finally canceled her account about one week ago. The case is still under investigation. A Lehi officer, having heard American Fork police disg patched to a residential burglary in that city, observed a vehicle matching the description of the getaway car driving through Lehi. The officer initiated a stop of the car and the driver told the officer that he was in the process of moving to American Fork and had just come from his apartment. When officers from American Fork arrived on the scene, they arrested the man and took over the case. A search of the vehicle yielded a box containing prescription medication; incidentally, the victim of the burglary reported that the suspect had gone through her medicine cabinet. A driver stopped for expired registration was found to have a $430 warrant from Springville, as well as a suspended driver's license. The woman was booked into the Utah County Jail on the warrant charge, and was cited for driving on suspension, expired registration and no insurance. A Lehi man reported the theft of six guns and two pairs of binoculars from a locked gun cabinet in his home. Despite the precaution of locking the cabinet, the key was left on top of the cabinet, and was, interestingly enough, left in the lock by the perpetrator. A Lehi woman reported the theft of $150 in sundry items from her unlocked vehicle parked at her home. Although there are no official suspects, a friend claimed she saw a suspicious-lookinmale with facial hair in the area. Continued from front page I HI 1 1 wish I'd opened an IRA years ago.
