Show Obituaries Emma S. Fogle Beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister, Emma Jane Searcy Fogle passed away 'peacefully on the 23rd of 1998 'April 'the day of her 50th wedding anniversary. Emma was born on the '16th day of April 1927 in Indianapolis, Indiana the fourth child of John William Searcy and Florence 1 .yy -- t Alma Spalding Searcy. Emma from graduated Arsenal Technical High School in Indianapolis in 1945. She married Richard Frederick I Fogle, Sr., on 23 April 1948 in ;Willard, Ohio. This marriage was blessed with two wonderful ! children, Susan and Richard, Jr. Emma was a convert to the LDS Church where she served in numerous callings. She is survived by her husband Richard F. Fogle, Sr; Susan and Bryan Lindberg her daugh- ter and their son Jonathan and his wife Melanie; Richard F. Fogle, Jr., and his wife Laura and their son Taylor R Fogle. She is also survived by her brother, Lawrence Searcy, sister, D. Marie Benjamin, of Indianapolis and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents and brother, John Morris Searcy. Emma was a kind, gentle woman who is greatly loved and will be missed by her family and friends. The family wishes to thank Chris, Becky and Louise of IHC Hospice, and the staff of UVRMC for the wonderful care they have given Emma through the years and especially the kindness and support they have shown during Emma's last illness. After graduation she attended Brigham Young University. She and her husband owned and operated Verd's fruit stand, one of Orem's oldest businesses. Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 28, 1998 in the Lehi 21st Ward Gateway Chapel, Lehi. Interment will be in the Lehi City Cemetery. He was born 13, to 1919 April Major and Pierce in Jennie Brown Provo, Utah the twelfth of thirteen children. He married Verda Sylvia Nielson in Heber City, Utah on August 14, 1939. He was educated in Utah County Schools. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and loved camping with his family. He first worked with his father on their fruit farm. He later worked construction as a vices, for the lovely floral offerings, and to those who helped in any way, we are truly grateful.
