Upon his return, Bret did decide to stay on with the store and started the legal process of purchasing the store from his parents. Two years ago, Bret was asked to serve on Whirlpool's National Service Advisory Board, a group of eight dealers from among the company's and 6,000 representatives Whirlpool executives, who jointly determine policies and guidelines for service. , "It's really interesting to see how a dollar corporation works," he said of his experiences traveling to different parts of the country as part tains the parts inventory, and nephew Don is in charge of the expanded warehouse area. Nickle also read a letter from Lindy Ozancin, another area landowner, who was out of the country at the time of the meeting, but who had sent a letter to be read at the meeting. Ozancin said that the type of people who e lots include want the animal lovers, extremely ambitious people and the wealthy. Several opposing landowners, however, presented the reasons behind their decisions to move to the North Bench. "I would like my children to experience the responsibility of taking care of a large property," said Connie Peterson, explaining that, although she can care for the property now because she is younger, even when she and her husband get older, they believe they can sell the property to someone who has the same interests. She also expressed concerns about the incompatibility of her horse property next to homes without animal rights. "If the subdivision goes through, she said, "there will be a house right next to my corrals. Houses next to animal rights property does not is no wrong," Barnes told the create a retention pond on land audience, explaining that he to be designated as a park. After several turns, the suspect finally slowed down and exited the vehicle, leaving the car to drive itself into a fence. The suspect, whose face was painted dark green, took off on foot but was soon apprehended by Lehi police. The man admitted to stealing the car from a Lehi residence and will be charged by American Fork Police Department for the theft of the vehicle. Lehi police contacted the owner, who did not know that the vehicle had been stolen; the man's son had left the keys in the car. An American Fork man, stopped for erratic driving, not only failed field sobriety and breath tests, but prognosticated that he would not pass either tests; he even estimated the reading of the portable intoxilyzer, which registered about three times the legal limit. The man had been arrested seven times previously for driving under the influence (DUI) in Utah, as well as twice in Nevada, both of which were felony convictions. An Orem woman, stopped for improper registration was found to have a warrant for her arrest. The male passenger also had a warrant from Payson and was booked into the Utah County Jail. The driver was cited and released, but dispatch later told the officer that a warrant was discovered for a woman with a slightly different name but the same date of birth. Upon hearing the news, the officer returned to the scene of the citation and arrested her for the warrant. After being booked into the Utah County Jail, officials found another warrant on her alias she gave Lehi officers; she was charged with the other warrant in addition to the first one and all of the original charges. Incidentally, officers also talked to the woman who was supposedly taking care of the vehicle for its owner, who is currently in prison. She claimed that her twin sons may have put the wrong license plates on by mistake. One problem: not only were the wrong plates on the car, but the little tiny sticker that shows officers what month the registration expires was found to have been "cut and pasted" from a different vehicle as well. By weight or by dollar value, a Lehi business suffered a heavy loss when an unknown suspect made off with $15,000 or 12,000 pounds of engines and engines parts. The case is still under investigation. i U WW ' I, 4 & If- - 1 v March is the perfect time to plant some hearty 18- - and SecureGro CDs. th First Security's 5.75 APY CD returns.
