A Riverton man was booked into the Utah County Jail on charges of speeding, driving on a denied license and operating a motor vehicle without insurance. He also happened to have a $5,000 warrant for issuing a bad check, as well as a $500 warrant. Needless to say, only cash bail would have been accepted. While we're on the subject of warrants, a Salt Lake man was taken into custody on warrants from Lehi and Provo, as well as four from American Fork. During the search of the suspect, officers found marijuana and paraphernalia, for which he was also charged. A Provo woman was cited for exhibition of speed and having no front license plate. There is no admission charge for Lehi High School students with activity cards; other students with activity cards pay $2 each. A family pass is also offered for $12. From 1986 to 1994 he served on the Alpine School District Board of Education. His final two years on the board were spent as a representative for the Utah School Board Association. During his tenure, he was instrumental in the construction of the Alpine School Administration District Building, as well as helping the Lehi Booster Club acquire stadium lights and guest bleachers for the Lehi High School football field. Blake was first president in Alpine School District history to have a $100 million bond pass an election. This laid the groundwork for school improvements throughout the district, including the construction of two new high schools, two new junior high schools and three new elementary schools. Dr. John Blake Evans died on June 4, 1996 at the age of 45. He never wanted to be in the limelight, he just cared about doing what was right for people and stood up for what he believed. day.
