This is the big question, and then? are a couple of answers In the first place, there is just too much news to fit ui our current group of newspapers. And I wasn't even looking at him while staring, for what I was really doing was staring at the lock, trying to send it telekinetic vibes and willing it, if you will, to raise in an effort to support him in his efforts Seriously. I was trying to help this man whose keys were probably dangling from the ignition, taunting him to come and get them. When he felt my penetrating gaze, he stopped his efforts with the wire coat hanger and bent down to look through his window and the window on the passenger side to glare at my staring eyes. I averted my gaze, thus robbing him of any possible additional support to bis still unsuccessful attempt at entering his own vehicle. Others came by and made feeble conversation, hardly as effective as my vibes would have been if I had been allowed to continue to send them. By the time we left the convenience store where this encounter took place, the guy was still not in, but I was powerless to help by that time. The situation made me think of the many other times when we find ourselves staring at other drivers. Don't you just love to look over at the who pulls up next to you and find u...mse!ves absolutely rocking out to the latest tunes. For Latter-daSaints it obviously is not "an awful waste of space." Consider these gems from restoration scripture: And there are many kingdoms; for there is no space in the which there is no kingdom and there is no kingdom in which there is no space, either a greater or a lesser kingdom. And unto every kingdom is given a law; and unto every law there are certain bounds also and conditions. D&C &5:37.35. From what little I understand about the theory of relativity. I find it interesting that the scriptures and especially the Book of Mormon1 refer to the passage of time as the "space of a time" isee 1 Nephi 11:19'. For example: "Now there must needs be a space betwixt the time of death and the time of the resurrection..." and explaining the relative unimportance of when, "...all is as one day with God. and time only is measured unto men." Alma Looking over the Obvious y Bv BRETT BEZZANT That the text of the bible could be randomly transmitted is no less of a wonder than when amino adds correctly line up to create hemoglobin protein. The random chance of this happening is one in 10 to the SScth power, which is in the realm of infinity, considering the fact that there are only 10 to the 50th power atoms in the known universe. Also according to Hereen's story, "there's an even smaller chance that the DNA code could have randomly reached the required specificity one chance in 10 to the TS.O'Xth power even for a simple microorganism In his bock Show Mi God". Road rage is another popular option, and those who are seen making mouth movements may be cursing you instead of talking to themselves. Depending on the level of the rage, they might accompany their oral motions with some flowery hand gestures as well. A couple of weeks ago, I pulled up behind a car and observed the driver with her hand hanging out the window. I chuckled when I realized that the motions of her hand indicated that she was trying to rid herself of some sort of undesirable material that adhered to her fingers. I shouldn't have laughed, because we have probably all done that at one time or another. It's just incredibly embarrassing to be caught at that activity. One time I saw two friends driving down the street. I tried to get their attention to offer a friendly wave, but they were so engrossed in their conversation that I couldn't get a wave in edgewise. At least it wasn't just the driver talking and gesturing to herself or I really could have teased her mercilessly.
