Jessica is an positive, responsible, and happy senior at Lehi High who believes that "attitude is everything and with determination and a positive attitude anything can be accomeasy-goin- plished." Jessica's involvement in school activities includes being a member of the National Honor Society, a three year member of the Pionettes drill team, and a tutor at the Lehi Homework Center. She has also been a member of the German club and a staff writer for the school paper. Maintaining a 3.83 grade point By BRENDA T. PETERSON average, Jessica has taken advanced placement classes in biology, history, calculus, and English language and composition. She also was recently nominated for and received the National English Merit Award. In church activities, Jessica is an active member of the Sego Lily Ward where she has served in all her Young Women's class presidencies. Unique Cookies, Preserves Will Outdoors Correspondent Southern Utah's stunning landscapes will be featured, tonight at 9 p.m. and Sunday March 9 at 7 p.m., as KUED channel 7 presents Desert Serenade. John Howe and Jeff Elstad, producers of the program, invite viewers to enjoy a journey across Southern Utah, with music from some of the world's greatest com posers, accenting the natural beauty of the land. Six program segments will take viewers through various aspects of southwestern life, including "Vanished," exploring Anasazi dwellings and Bach's music, and "Canyon Country," a regional overview, set to Mahler's Fifth Symphony. "Wranglers" takes viewers through the cowboy experience, Conservation seedlings available By BRIAN BRINKERHOFF Outdoors Correspondent Seedlings for conservation projects are now available at the Lone Peak Conservation Nursery, with many trees and shrubs selling for approximately 50 cents each. Conservation uses include windbreaks, wildlife habitat, and reclamation projects. Glenn Beagle, Conservation Center Coordinator, reports, "These seedlings are conservation grade and not suitable for landscape plantings." Seedling packages are specifically designed to contain 100 seedlings of four different plant species, approved by the Division of Wildlife Resources, for upland game bird cover, songbird habitat, and deer and elk winter range. A minimum of 100 seedlings is required per order and seedlings can be picked up at the nursery or designated county drop off points. Orders are currently being accepted through the mail, or any of the six area offices of the Division of Forestry, Fire, and State Lands.
