Patrick, this week's Pioneer Profile, is an optimistic, complex, and enthusiastic senior at Lehi High. He is the son of Keith and Cindy Rose of Lehi. g, Pioneer at fli' By BRENT) A T. Hansen will represent the school at the district spelling bee. Thespians attend workshops Baby Born With 3 Heads. Not really, we just wanted to get your attention. This article is really about the Lehi High School, and the happenings thereof. Despite popular belief, the school really has interesting things that go on. The drama department has recently returned from a trip to the Utah Theatre Association, where Pioneer Beat By PETER MARTINEZ they held workshops on theater, and the aspects of it. During which they saw a number of plays. "Mindy (Berry-Young- ) gave the trip an exceptional kick", recalls one of the students about their student teacher. Nikki Louiseau was the award for "Best given Thespian", and was met with much enthusiasm by the peon section (everybody else). for the Tryouts widely renowned play "Deviners" were held Feb. 3 and 4, and reports of which are looking hopeful. The play will be showing March 20-224, and 25. We urge everyone to come and witness the miracle of the theater, as will be performed there. There is a blood drive on March 10 for all seniors over 17 years of age who enjoy that sort of thing. You see, the school really isn't all that boring. Maybe a little "uneventful," but hey, what is? At LHS, Patrick is a member of the National Honor Society, jazz, pep, and marching bands, and German, art, and science clubs. He participates in Encore choir, soccer team, stage crew, and he has been in several school play productions. Patrick has received the Presidential Academic Fitness award, Principal's award, and is listed in Who's Who Among American High School Students. His logo design was also selected for all school band this year. He was also selected to attend Engineering State held at Utah State University this past summer. An active member of the Lehi 11th Ward, Patrick currently serves as first assistant to the bishop in the priest's quorum. He is a member of the Lehi North Stake Youth Committee, Lehi South Stake Youth Choir, and 11th ward choir. He has participated and performed in several stake plays and he has received his Duty Lehi City Youth Court. He is a of member the Teenage Republicans and a former officer in Order of the Arrow. He has also received his Eagle Scout award. Patrick's free time is filled with working on cars, camping, collecting model trains, and participating in military maneuvers with his brother. He has also had several part time jobs such as, groundskeeper, woodcrafter, uncompensated chauffeur, tutor, and member of a scout camp staff. In the future, Patrick plans on serving a mission for his church, acquiring an advanced university education and degree, and being an exemplary father and husband. art classes will Students in Mary Ann exhibit their works in a show that opens Friday at the Lehi Arts Center, 685 N. Center St. Judd-Johnson- 's Lehi High School art students to show work at Arts Center Students in the art department at Lehi High School are preparing their works for an upcoming art show. The show will be held in the Lehi Arts Center, 685 N. Center, the former Hutchings Museum building. The exhibit will start Friday, Feb. 14 from 6 to 9 p.m.; refreshments will be served at the first showing. The show continues Saturday, Feb. 15 from 7 to 9 p.m.; on Sunday, Feb. 16 from 3 to 5 p.m.; and again on Tuesday, Feb. 18 from 7 to 9 p.m. The exhibit will be closed Monday, Feb. 17 for the President's Day holiday.
