All reservations and payment must be made by Sept. 20. The center will be closed on Sept. 24 because of the Fall Foliage trip. The monthly Wellness Clinic will be held Friday, Sept. 6 from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. by appointment only. Fall Foliage Tour through Friday, 8 a.m. until 5 p.m., and on Wednesdays until 7 p.m. seniors have been asking about the 55 Alive Foliage Tour. service. Shots will be offered on Monday, Oct. 7 from 9 a.m. until noon at the center. Cost for the shots will be $7, The date will be Tuesday, Sept. ?4, and the trip this year will include a stop at the Hill Aerospace Museum and the Roy Historical Museum. The bus will depart the Senior Center at 8:30 a.m. and will return approximately 4 p.m. Following the museum stop, seniors will eat lunch at Jeremiah's in Ogden, then travel through North Ogden Canyon and Weber Canyon. Cost for the trip will be $14 per person. One bus is already full; seniors interested in participating card, everyone will be reimbursed. The clinic is open to all seniors, as well as any members of the community who are considered to be "at risk." Pneumonia shots will l available at a cost of $14 each. Pneumonia shots are only necessary once in a lifetime, unless a doctor orders a repeat shot for special health conditions. Tuesday, Sept. 10: Swedish meatballs over rice, green beans, vitamin salad with Ranch dressing, whole wheat roll and jelly roll. Diane Ashton, dressed as Raggedy Ann, gave a presentation at the store in celebration of the 75th anniversary of the story. The Raggedy Ann stories were created by Johnny Gruelle, who created the tales for his daughter, Marcella. Ashton brought items from her own collection, which she has been developing for more than 25 years, and Broadbent's featured some of the items from the lines available at the store. Broadbent's has both Raggedy Ann and Raggedy Andy dolls of various sizes; reprints of the original Johnny Gruelle stories as well as versions by other authors; and two varieties of Raggedy Ann tea sets.
