When a former neighbor needed rehabilitation after a serious illness, Olson started taking him swimming at the American Fork Fitness Center. While the two of them continue to swim every day, he now also lifts weights. He also enjoys camping. Interestingly, while he enjoys participating in the roping event, . he does not particularly care for rodeo as a whole. "If I'm not competing, there's no interest," he said. But the roping is a favorite activity, and he recently participated in another roping event in Salina. With his success rate, more buckles and saddles are sure to be in his future.
